I am a Qualified Counsellor and supervisor offering a safe, caring, confidential and non-judgemental counselling and supervisor service.

Since qualifying I have worked with organisations offering counselling to individuals experiencing many differing things,  for example suicidal thoughts, sexuality issues, depression, communication problems in relationships at home and at work, bereavement, stress, anxiety and low self-esteem.

I currently work as a school based counsellor with Monmouthshire County Council  providing a therapeutic space for young people aged 12 and above. This can be face to face work, telephone, video links, and text chat through live chat systems (IM).

I have a private practice offering counselling to individuals 10 years and above. I offer these services through face to face connections, telephone, video link and Live Chat using VSEE and email.

In June 2020 I qualified as a Supervisor with a level 7 Diploma in Consultative Supervision. I offer supervision as part of my private practice to counsellors and other professionals.

The history of my work for the past eight years is as follows:

  • Monmouth County Council School Based Counsellor, providing support within senior schools and the community to young individuals 12 and over.

  • The CLD Trust,  counselling young individuals aged 10 to 18.

  • Strong Young Minds, Co-Ordinator of a team and a personal advisor to young individuals aged 10 - 26.

  • Bereavement counsellor in St Michaels Hospice, Herefordshire and St Richards Hospice, Worcestershire, working with individuals, their  family members and close connected others who are experiencing life  altering or life limiting illness pre and post death.

  • Place2Be counsellor counselling primary age children in a school setting, this  being predominantly play therapy but often they also wish to discuss their world.

  • Pembrokeshire Counselling Services, counselling all age groups with varying needs.

Prior to training as a counsellor I worked for 18 years in housing dealing with many complex individual, family and social issues.  During this time I held positions from administration through to management giving a great depth of understanding about the public sector, working alone and in team settings.

I worked for 5 years in an education setting for children and young adults  dealing with mild learning difficulties through to life limiting or altering conditions. I have a depth of knowledge as to the importance for these young individuals to have their space to talk and the demands and pressures experienced by the  family and carers.
